Stantec is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to support high voltage transmission projects from concept to construction. The role can sit in any US office; responsibilities include leading tenders, coordinating engineers, and producing high-quality deliverables for 69 kV to 500 kV systems.

You will work with teams across disciplines, leverage PLS tools, and engage with clients and permitting agencies to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Be a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication; able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, manage others, and align with client expectations.
• Proficient in modeling transmission lines in the PLS suite; develop route alignments and plan profiles.
• Experience drafting drawings for wood, concrete, steel, FRP, lattice transmission structures.
• Knowledge of EMF, fault current, grounding, contaminants study, and clearance analysis.
• Experience with lattice towers and geotechnical data interpretation for foundations.
• Ability to integrate survey data into PLS-CADD models and coordinate with GIS personnel.
• Proficient with PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower, L-Pile, MFAD and MS Office.
• Understanding of project management systems and field construction support; strong client communication.
• Familiar with ASCE, ACI, IEEE, NESC, RUS Bulletins and GO-95 standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead the preparation of specifications, calculations, drawings and scope documents for tenders and contracts.
• Coordinate design engineers and staff to ensure project success, on time and on budget.
• Write and edit technical reports and engineering studies.
• Act as liaison with clients, contractors, disciplines, and permitting agencies; demonstrate project management.
• Work on diverse projects within Power Delivery and advance career paths.
• Contribute to a diverse organization bridging infrastructure engineering sectors.
