Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to support and lead high‑voltage transmission projects (69 kV–500 kV) from concept through construction. The role sits in any US office with responsibilities spanning design, calculations, drawings, reports, and client coordination.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in HV/EHV projects, PE license within a year, and proficiency in PLS‑CADD and related tools. This is a full‑time, onsite/hybrid opportunity with extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• PE required or ability to attain after one year.
• 8+ years in the design of overhead and underground HV/EHV transmission lines, route selection and construction bid packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of specifications, calculations, drawings and scope documents for construction tenders and contracts.
• Coordinate and direct design engineers and staff to deliver high quality, on-budget projects on schedule.
• Write and edit technical reports and engineering studies.
• Liaise with clients and contractors, coordinating with multiple disciplines and permitting agencies while managing projects.
