Job summary

Stantec is seeking a US Transmission Line Engineering Manager to lead and advance the nationwide transmission line practice. You will guide strategy, elevate technical and delivery excellence, and align resources across the country.

You will report to the Power Delivery Operations Manager, overseeing national leadership and ensuring client-focused outcomes with strong executive engagement and business growth.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering managers and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. electric utility and transmission line market.
• Experience in business development, client engagement, capture planning, and proposals.
• Experience delivering transmission line engineering and design projects for utilities, developers, or EPCs.
• Knowledge of overhead transmission line engineering and related construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. transmission line practice as a single national team.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development oversight to managers and teams.
• Develop and execute the strategic vision and operating objectives.
• Drive staffing utilization, workforce planning, and resource management.
• Mentor team members and guide project execution and quality standards.
• Communicate performance and priorities to leadership using KPIs.
• Collaborate with Operations and Account Managers to balance workload and outcomes.
• Support recruitment, succession planning, and professional development.
• Expand capacity and deepen client relationships with utility clients.
