Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Engineering Manager in our Power Delivery practice based in Portland, ME. You will lead the technical execution of high-voltage transmission projects, mentor engineers, and coordinate with the Project Manager to align scope, schedule, and budget.

This role requires 10+ years of transmission experience, a Civil Engineering background, and proficiency with PLS-CADD. You will support QA/QC, develop technical papers, and help advance HDR’s employee-owned culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of transmission line experience.
• Proficient with PLS-CADD and steel/wood transmission structures.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with project management, QA/QC, and multi-location teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering and design components of transmission projects.
• Develop and implement a project execution plan for the technical aspect of transmission projects.
• Mentor, supervise Project Engineers, EITs, Designers, and CAD staff.
• Support scope, schedule, budget, including risk assessment and change management.
