Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to lead design teams, perform PLS-CADD modeling, and develop construction packages for large transmission projects. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure QA/QC and regulatory compliance during execution.

Preferred candidates hold a PE license, a relevant engineering degree, and 3+ years in power-sector project delivery, with proficiency in PLS-CADD, SAPS, AutoCAD, and Revit. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
• MS Office and standard Power Market design software (PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).
• Active participation in engineering consulting or related firms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams to develop and complete full construction packages for transmission line projects.
• Conduct analyses to develop design options and perform PLS-CADD modeling.
• Assist with cost estimates or specifications; QA/QC for transmission projects.
• Coordinate with electrical design team across schematic design and contract documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in field reviews and site work.
• Ensure code compliance with governing agencies and manage project deliverables on schedule.

Education

Master's degree in Engineering

Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Previous experience in project execution within Power Market Sector
