Qualifications

• Approximately 15+ years of combined experience in construction estimating or related fields.
• Significant experience supporting electric transmission, power delivery, utility, or EPC construction projects.
• Knowledge of overhead or underground transmission-line construction.
• Experience with transmission projects at 69kV or higher.
• Ability to develop estimates from incomplete, conceptual, or early-stage project information.
• Strong understanding of labor, materials, equipment, subcontracting, productivity, scheduling, escalation, risk, and contingency.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop conceptual, budgetary, and detailed capital cost estimates for transmission-line projects.
• Support project work orders, RFQs, competitive bids, and other capital activities.
• Review information to determine labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, staffing, and indirect costs.
• Develop estimates when scope is incomplete.
• Identify missing information and coordinate with stakeholders to clarify requirements.
• Establish estimating assumptions, exclusions, risks, and contingency recommendations.
• Develop quantities for transmission structures, foundations, conductor, clearing, and line-construction components.
• Incorporate escalation, market conditions, and construction risks into models.
• Review designs and provide cost, constructability, and value-engineering recommendations.
• Lead or participate in estimate reviews with senior stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship to less-experienced estimators.
