Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager, Transmission in Lansdale, PA. Lead the Transmission Engineering group, oversee designs, cost estimates, and deliverables for power line projects, while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

You will report to the Director of Transmission Engineering, manage staffing and performance, and collaborate across practice groups. The role requires travel to client sites as needed to support project work and sustain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in power transmission design with supervisory experience.
• Experience leading an engineering team with resource management and delegation.
• Working knowledge of NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards for transmission design.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations of the Transmission Line design staff, ensuring compliance with procedures, standards, and safety codes.
• Manage resource balancing and staffing forecasting across clients and projects.
• Evaluate performance and development of staff; conduct reviews and address development needs.
• Mentor and develop supervisory staff and engineers; provide hands-on guidance.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and business development opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborate on policies and procedures reflecting best engineering practices.
• Travel to client sites to support project work and sustain relationships.
