Job summary

PSEG Long Island is seeking a Principal Engineer - Technical Supervisor to lead the engineering and design function for major electric transmission capital projects up to 345 kV. You will guide technical leadership and oversee scope, budget, and schedule to ensure safe, reliable delivery.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop designs, review construction packages, and maintain alignment with regulatory requirements and asset performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• New York State PE license preferred.
• Minimum eight years in electric utility with transmission experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise engineers, designers, and contractors to deliver transmission projects.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with external firms to ensure standards compliance.
• Develop and review detailed project designs and construction packages.
• Provide technical leadership across planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, NESC, OSHA and internal standards.
