Kimley-Horn in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Sr. Transmission Engineer to join our Power Delivery team in office.

You will lead technical work on transmission and distribution projects, mentor junior staff, and develop client relationships with utilities and developers.

The role emphasizes project delivery, compliance with industry standards, and business development through proposals and scoping for contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in Power Delivery.
• P.E. license preferred.
• Proven business development, including proposals and client networks.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Entrepreneurial, results-driven mindset.

Responsabilités

• Lead and grow the Power Delivery practice and mentor staff.
• Direct technical work for Power Delivery projects (transmission and distribution design).
• Ensure design compliance with NESC, IEEE, NERC, GO and local standards.
• Prepare technical deliverables and reports.
• Pursue new project opportunities and prepare proposals.
• Manage projects for profitability and resource efficiency.
