Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a construction management professional to lead teams and supervise contracts on major projects in the Seattle area. The role requires coordinating multidisciplinary staff, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery within budget.

You will review contract documents, manage changes, and collaborate with stakeholders to navigate regulatory requirements and complex project plans. A strong background in public works is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field.
  • Five years of experience in construction supervision, contract administration, or engineering project management.
  • Experience with public works construction is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, coordinates, schedules, assigns, and inspects work activities of staff, consultants, and contractors.
  • Manages contracts and budgets; monitors cost and cash flow; ensures completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Reviews submittals and change orders; ensures compliance with codes and contract documents.
  • Oversees safety, quality management, and project documentation; supports project development tasks such as environmental processes and permits.
