Job summary

Via is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance program for transit equipment and facilities. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership, oversight of technicians, and strict adherence to safety and cost controls.

You will supervise the full employee lifecycle for drivers, manage the maintenance budget, and coordinate with partners and central Via teams to ensure reliable service and uptime.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in transit or automotive environments.
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor and with shop staff.

Responsibilities

• Service, overhaul, and repair transit equipment and property; write and prioritize work orders.
• Manage drivers' lifecycle: scheduling, PTO, timesheets, inquiries, performance conversations.
• Inspect work, equipment, and tools; approve stock orders and budget adherence.
• Provide technical advice, mentor staff, ensure safety and documentation.
• Coordinate parts inventory and vendor relationships; liaise with Via teams.
