Job summary

Team Rubicon is seeking a Senior Associate, Training (Advanced Skills) to lead and coordinate advanced training programs across East & West branches. This role will guide instructor methodology, curriculum development, and on-site deployment for disaster response, while reporting to the Manager of Mission Support (Training).

The position is remote-based within the contiguous United States, with frequent travel to training events and conferences.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the military, non-profit, or emergency management.
• Skilled group facilitator with an ability to balance patience and command.
• Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers.
• Project Management Skills: Planning, executing, and overseeing timelines, resources, and teams.
• Experienced with technology tools and in remote working for coordinating with a large network of TR staff, Greyshirts and external stakeholders.
• Successful past performance in leading volunteers is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Execute training strategy across East & West branches to enhance rapid disaster response.
• Recruit, hire, develop and supervise instructor cadre for Sawyer, Route Clearance and Roof Tarping.
• Coordinate with the Associate of Complex Training and geo branches to forecast program needs.
• Work with Volunteer Management on incident resolution and investigations involving RC, Chainsaw, and Roof Tarping programs.
• Develop standards, policies, and processes for response, recovery, and mitigation operations.
• Support complex training events, local responses, EOC activations and operations.
