Job summary

Team Rubicon seeks a Senior Associate, Training (Advanced Skills) to lead Sawyer, Route Clearance, and Roof Tarping training programs across East and West branches, supporting disaster response capabilities and instructor methodology.

This remote role coordinates complex multi-day trainings and develops standards while deploying to on-site events as needed, ensuring scalable, high-performing training cadets and competencies.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the military, non-profit, or emergency management.
• Skilled group facilitator with an ability to balance patience and command.
• Proven record of personnel management experience such as recruiting, managing, training, and developing employees and volunteers.
• Project management skills: planning, executing, and overseeing timelines, resources, and teams.
• Experience with technology tools and remote working to coordinate with a large TR network.

Responsibilities

• Execute TR training strategy across East & West branches to enhance rapid, local disaster response.
• Recruit, hire, develop and supervise instructor cadre (Sawyer, Route Clearance, Roof Tarping).
• Forecast program needs with Associate of Complex Training and geo branches.
• Collaborate with Volunteer Management on incident resolution involving RC, Chainsaw, and Roof Tarping.
• Develop standards, policies, and processes for response, recovery, and mitigation operations.
• Coordinate complex training, local responses, and EOC activations into execution.
• Deploy to complex training events and operations as needed.
