Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Production Trade Support Analyst to join our Trading Technology Operations team in New York. The role provides hands-on production support to institutional equities traders and helps implement and evolve a proprietary Sell-Side Order Management System (OMS).

The ideal candidate has traded on the floor, a deep understanding of OMS workflows and FIX, and can own issues from investigation to resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Production/Trading Technology Support within institutional equities.
• Direct experience supporting institutional traders on a trading floor.
• Strong understanding of sell-side OMS functionality and end-to-end order lifecycle.
• Experience supporting high-touch and low-touch trading workflows (client-specific routing/execution).
• Hands-on experience with sell-side OMS platforms (Fidessa, FlexTrade, TRAFiX, Broadridge or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol, order messaging, connectivity, and trade flow troubleshooting.
• Ability to investigate and articulate trading issues from business and technical perspectives.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments, logs, and production troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability to own issues with limited oversight.
• Strong communication with traders, developers, and senior technology stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on production support to institutional equities traders, troubleshooting OMS and workflow issues.
• Support complex sell-side trading workflows, including high-touch and low-touch routing and execution.
• Investigate issues across the order lifecycle, aligning trader intent with system behavior.
• Troubleshoot OMS and FIX-related issues, including message flow, connectivity, and session management.
• Translate trader-reported issues into clear technical investigations with actionable steps.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and infrastructure teams to validate functionality and coordinate fixes.
• Independently explore new functionality and configurations within the OMS environment.
• Support system configuration, QA/UAT, deployments, and production readiness.
• Leverage Linux/Unix, logs, and troubleshooting tools to confirm system behavior.
• Take ownership of assigned issues, communicating progress and blockers clearly.
