Job summary

Shulman Fleming & Partners in New York City seeks a Contract Trade Support Analyst to provide direct front office technology support on the trading floor. The role focuses on monitoring FIX connectivity, diagnosing real-time issues, and translating trader needs into clear specs for development teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with equities trading platforms, regulatory workflows, and strong communication skills to coordinate with traders, Compliance, and control functions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience supporting front office trading applications, including equities and related venues.
• Knowledge of Reg NMS, Reg SHO, CAT, ACT, ORF, and TRACE compliance workflows.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional specs for vendors and teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct front office technology support to Equities traders, middle office users, and Compliance teams on the trading floor.
• Monitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity for system stability and availability.
• Diagnose and resolve real-time trading issues and regulatory inquiries.
• Communicate incident status to stakeholders and senior management.
• Gather and document business requirements from traders and translate into specifications.
• Collaborate with Support and QA to improve regression testing and readiness.
• Maintain knowledge base, runbooks, and technical documentation.
