Job summary

Proven IT is seeking a Tier III Engineer to provide expert server, network, and cloud-focused support for managed IT services. The role involves installation, maintenance, migrations, and licensing management across on-premises and cloud platforms.

You will troubleshoot complex issues, document solutions, and collaborate with engineers and vendors. Travel to client sites is required; the office is in Tinley Park, IL, with an emphasis on reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with certifications.
• 7+ years in IT Tier II/III preferred.
• Willingness to work in an in-office setting and travel to client sites.
• Experience with backups, cloud technologies, and server infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Cisco Meraki networks and deployment tools such as WDS/MDT.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier III escalation for complex technical issues to Proven IT Tier II Engineers.
• Analyze customer needs via remote diagnostics and qualification questions.
• Migrate clients to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and perform Office 365 migrations.
• Install and administer server infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, domain hosting, and virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware).
• Configure and support network equipment including switches, firewalls, wireless APs; maintain licensing.
• Maintain Proiven IT knowledge base documenting solutions and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation to address priority escalations.
• Travel up to 75% to client sites and ensure alignment with Proven IT standards.
