Job summary

Somewhere is looking for a highly experienced Tier 3 IT Engineer to join our remote team, supporting MSP clients with advanced infrastructure and complex incidents.

You will own escalations, administer Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and security while mentoring junior staff and communicating clearly with clients. This full-time remote role offers 9am–5pm EST hours and a pay range up to $5,000 per month.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on IT infrastructure/MSP experience.
• Excellent spoken English and client-facing communication.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Tier 3 technical support & escalations, owning issues to resolution.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and identity access.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, policies, and DNS/DHCP.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN/VPN, firewall, and multi-site networks.
• Enhance cybersecurity, EDR, vulnerability remediation, and best practices.
• Oversee backup/DR with Veeam/Acronis and verify data integrity.
• Communicate clearly with U.S.-based clients and document actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
