Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled security researcher to analyze in-the-wild exploits and support adversary tracking with reverse engineering, tooling, and intelligence reporting.

The role emphasizes defense, collaboration, and operational impact across CrowdStrike Intelligence teams. Remote with occasional travel, MA/MS in CS or related field preferred, and strong writing and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques seen in userspace/kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of Windows and at least two OS platforms.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong teamwork.
• Deep knowledge of reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Programming and scripting in Python.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research.
• Strong ability to communicate technical results clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop tracking systems to inform cross-team adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Enhance and maintain capabilities for detecting exploits, payloads, and attack vectors.
• Identify new data sources to increase threat visibility, focusing on exploits.
• Reverse engineer exploits to understand inner workings and code paths.
• Build tools to automate exploit analysis within static/dynamic analysis frameworks.
• Create classification frameworks to attribute intrusion activity by vulnerability patterns.
• Contribute to active mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reports with actionable guidance.
• Brief diverse audiences on complex analysis results and coordinate with other teams.
