Job summary

CrowdStrike Intelligence is seeking a motivated security researcher with excellent technical skills to research in-the-wild exploits and track adversaries. This role focuses on defensive analysis, reverse engineering, and developing automation tools to deliver actionable threat intelligence and mitigation guidance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques seen in userspace/kernel exploits.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two OS platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and teamwork.
• Profound knowledge of reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, especially Python.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate vulnerability research and exploit analysis.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly in writing and visuals.
• Excellent writing skills mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems informing cross-team adversary tracking based on observed exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities for detecting exploits and malicious payloads using existing data sources.
• Identify opportunities to increase threat visibility, especially exploits, using new data sources.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of exploit internals via reverse engineering.
• Develop tools to automate exploit analysis within static/dynamic frameworks.
• Create a classification framework aiding attribution of intrusion activity.
• Contribute to active mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host-based and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting, detection, and prevention.
