Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Thermal Engineer to join the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer team. You will provide thermal analysis expertise for lunar lander architectures and drive designs through build, test, and verification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience.
• Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentals.
• Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, radiators, and other common spacecraft hardware.
• Experience designing, sizing, building, and/or testing hardware.
• Basic experience with CAD software; preferably Creo.
• Experience with CFD simulation methods for component-level analysis.
• Experience with thermal analysis software such as Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, MATLAB, Python, CFD++, Ansys Fluent.
• Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver results.

• Lead and contribute to build, test, and verification of thermal systems.
