Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Analyst to lead the MA&T structural analysis team on missile, radar, and related weapon systems. The role is onsite and travel may be required. Candidates must hold a DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

The position requires 8+ years of thermal analysis, leadership of engineering teams, and proficiency with PATRAN/ANSYS. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 8+ years of experience, or 12+ years without a degree.
• 8+ years of thermal analysis experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams delivering technical and cost performance.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader and/or lead analysis/test teams on MA&T projects.
• Support staffing requests to ensure programs are properly staffed.
• Engage with team members on performance and career development.
• Assist with proposal preparation and project scoping.
• Perform hand calculations to scope higher detail analysis models.
• Perform detailed analyses to solve structural challenges.
• Peer-review analysis to validate processes and results.
• Document results per Raytheon ME standards.
• Deliver results to internal and external customers.
