Job summary

RTX's Mechanical Engineering team in Tucson, AZ is seeking a senior structural analyst to lead MA&T activities for missiles, radar, sonar, and combat system hardware. The role is onsite, with travel expected, and requires U.S.

citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Candidates will perform hand calculations, detailed analyses, peer reviews, and documentation to Raytheon ME standards and deliver results to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in science, engineering, or mathematics with 8+ years of experience; advanced degree may substitute.
• 8+ years of thermal analysis experience.
• Experience leading engineering teams and driving performance.
• Thermal FEA experience with PATRAN and/or ANSYS.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader and/or lead MA&T analysis/test teams.
• Support staffing to ensure programs have appropriate personnel.
• Engage with team members on performance and career development.
• Assist with proposal preparation including scope estimation.
• Perform hand calculations to bound higher detail models.
• Conduct detailed analysis to solve structural challenges.
• Perform peer reviews to validate processes and results.
• Document results to Raytheon ME standards and deliver to customers.
