Job summary

RTX in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a senior Thermal/Mechanical engineer to lead MA&T analyses for structural integrity of missile and combat system components. You will perform hand calculations and advanced FEM studies using PATRAN/ANSYS, mentor teams, and deliver rigorous results to customers.

The role requires 8+ years in thermal analysis, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain a government security clearance; travel to facilities is expected. On-site work in Tucson is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 8+ years of experience, or 12 years without a degree.
• 8 years of thermal analysis experience.
• Experience with Thermal Finite Element Analysis using PATRAN or ANSYS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader and/or lead analysis/test teams.
• Perform hand calculations and detailed structural analysis to solve challenges.
• Document results per Raytheon ME standards and deliver to internal/external customers.
