Job summary

Raytheon Technologies in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer - Structural to lead detailed structural analyses across development and production programs.

The role is onsite in the Mechanical Analysis and Test (MAT) Department, focusing on high temperature materials and advanced finite element methods. The selected candidate will define analysis scope, develop models, present results to customers, and mentor other engineers while working under general direction toward

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in structural analysis using following tools (i.e. PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS or equivalent software (Dynamic, Static, Non-linear, Transient, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis and testing to support all phases of programs
• Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews ensuring the technical accuracy of work product as well as acting as a reviewer for others work products
• Present results to internal stakeholders and external customers
• Travel to test sites to support test or design discussion (depending on work assignment)
