Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a senior hardware test engineer to develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), including test instructions, workflow routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs, and to work with test development engineers on new or existing test hardware and software.

You will support manufacturing with process troubleshooting, implement engineering changes into MDPs, and provide technical support to testing of production hardware while maintaining test equipment onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) required.
• Typically requires 8+ years of prior relevant experience in hardware testing.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including test instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Collaborate with test development engineers on new or existing test hardware and software.
• Support manufacturing with process troubleshooting, incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP, and testing of production hardware and maintenance of test equipment.
• Disposition non-conforming material with root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time, ergonomic risk, and costs using CORE principles and data-driven decisions.
• Develop tools/fixtures to improve ergonomics in processes.
