Job summary

RTX's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities team in Marlborough, MA seeks a talented Systems Engineer to integrate hardware and software, develop test plans, debug, verify requirements, and ensure successful fielded performance for final customer sell-off. This onsite role offers hands-on collaboration across disciplines.

You'll support program development, engineering testing, integration, flight-testing, production and post deployment support across the lifecycle, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM obtained by start date.
• Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities related to testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software
• Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system
• Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
• System integration and test support, possibly including live fire test events
• Support activity may require travel
• Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB
• Support qualification of our products
• Sustainment/Depot returns and repair
• Maintain engineering specifications (DS, ARD, etc.) & drawing (Schematics & Assembly Drawings)
• Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
• Maintain engineering databases
• Participate in periodic team meetings, interface teleconference meetings, working group meetings
