Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Project Controls Specialist to join our Engineering Services team supporting Ground System Development and Test Capabilities Development. You will own the full spectrum of planning, scheduling, and daily activity alignment across our group, leading the creation and maintenance of integrated master schedules and coordinating with multiple programs and sites.

You will drive schedule integration using Primavera P6 and MS Project, perform schedule risk analyses

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in program scheduling/planning and controls in an industrial or technical environment
• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining resource-loaded integrated master schedules using Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Project Server, or similar software
• Strong understanding of scheduling best practices, including critical path methodology
• Experience establishing new programs or performing replans of existing programs
• Experience managing ERP/MRP systems
• Demonstrated experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management
• Excellent project management and prioritization skills
• Advanced interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships across multiple teams and management levels
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Ability to work full-time; occasional travel, overtime, or on-call may be required
• Must successfully pass a security background check to work on federal reservations
• MBA or advanced degree in a related field

Responsibilities

• Scope & Schedule Management: Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems and master schedules for Ground System and Test Capabilities Development projects
• Schedule Integration: Lead schedule integration between internal teams, external suppliers, and contractors using Primavera P6, MS Project, One Plan
• Critical Path & Risk Analysis: Perform critical path analysis and schedule risk assessments and identify risks and opportunities
• Earned Value & Cost Forecasting: Develop earned value metrics and forecast cost/schedule trends with early deviation detection
• Resource Coordination: Collaborate with Operations to determine workforce needs and develop schedules based on resource requirements
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate activities across departments and contractors to ensure alignment with customer requirements
• Reporting & Visual Management: Support project status reports for executives and maintain visual status charts
• Variance Analysis & Change Management: Analyze schedule and scope variances and support change management processes
