Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an adept Production Control Scheduler to craft and manage detailed production schedules across programs. You will collaborate with Manufacturing Leaders, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Control to ensure efficient planning and risk management, enabling safer, cost-effective spaceflight.

You will mentor less experienced planners and leverage scheduling software plus automation to maximize high-impact priorities while adapting to shifting program priorities.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Production Management, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain preferred.
  • 2–10 years of aerospace production control planning and scheduling experience preferred.
  • Read and understand technical documents including blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience creating and maintaining CPM schedules in MS Project or Primavera P6.
  • Demonstrated digital fluency and ability to automate processes.
  • Willingness to work full-time with travel, overtime or on-call as needed.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE and maintain safety standards.
  • US citizenship, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Develops the production schedule and manufacturing plan based on program schedule, labor, and resource availability.
  • Identify schedule risks and communicate status to leadership before milestones.
  • Maintain schedule baseline integrity and manage change control.
  • Manage production schedules for multiple programs and provide schedules aligned with capabilities.
  • Mentor and develop junior planners to raise team proficiency.
  • Support scheduling needs across programs as priorities shift.
  • Create tactical schedules using MS Project and Primavera P6; manage scope release to Production Control.
  • Balance detail level with execution flexibility in coordination with IMS teams.
  • Analyze bottlenecks and schedule recovery options when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure accurate schedules.
  • Champion tool-forward, digital automation to reduce repetitive work.
  • Provide regular updates on upcoming production priorities and status.
