Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Lead Teller to act as a trusted advisor in our Amherst, NY branch. You will identify and resolve client servicing issues, coach tellers, and guide customers toward financial wellness conversations with a Banker.

You will schedule tellers, monitor operations, and support regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in client relationships, cash handling, and leadership, with strong time management and service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience (required).
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated superior client relationship skills (required).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cash handling (required).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and foster teamwork (required).
• Demonstrated organizational skills while managing multiple tasks (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead teller operations in an in-branch setting, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of transactions.
• Coach and observe tellers to enhance client experience and branch performance.
• Identify and resolve complex client servicing issues and refer clients to a Banker for financial wellness conversations.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security, and internal audit controls.
• Assist in scheduling tellers and supporting branch operation standards; participate in morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
