Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Senior Teller to lead teller and transaction operations in the branch, coaching frontline staff to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain operational accuracy.

The Senior Teller will oversee cash handling, vault management, and adherence to bank policies, while supporting branch goals and providing strong customer relationship building.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of bank products, services, and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to coach without direct supervisory authority.
• Minimum three years of teller experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach frontline staff to ensure accurate teller service.
• Oversee cash operations, vault management, and controls.
• Balance cash and reconcile discrepancies per standards.
• Assist with account opening and customer service needs as required.
• Maintain compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in branch meetings and training.
• Travel to nearby branches may be required.
