Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an experienced technical writer to develop and maintain publication materials for reports, manuals, briefs, and proposals in support of VA projects.

You will collaborate with SMEs, PgMs, engineers and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and quality, while managing multiple priorities in a remote environment. This full-time role requires U.S. citizenship and a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in technical writing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
• Collaborate with SMEs, PgMs, engineers and stakeholders to gather and validate information.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and document collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Write and update material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instructions, and catalogs.
• Refine writers' work and coordinate activities across technical publications.
• Apply industry standards, best practices, and document control processes.
• Develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Coordinate with SMEs, PgMs, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Represent organization on projects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
