Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Tech Writer/Editor for a remote, full-time role supporting Veterans Affairs (VA). The position requires 10+ years of professional experience, a Public Trust clearance, and proven ability to develop and edit technical publications, manuals, and proposals.

You will collaborate with SMEs, PgMs, and engineers to gather, validate, and publish clear documentation; manage multiple projects; and use Microsoft Office and content-management tools.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation, reports, manuals, procedures, and other technical publications.
• Strong written and verbal communication with high attention to detail, grammar, style, and document quality.
• Translate complex technical or business information into clear, concise documentation.
• Experience collaborating with SMEs, PgMs, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document collaboration tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and good judgment.
• Experience editing and coordinating work of multiple writers.
• Knowledge of technical publication standards and style guides.
• Experience supporting proposal development, government contracting, defense, engineering, or professional services.
• Familiarity with content management systems and workflow tools.
• Experience developing SOPs, training materials, or user guides.
• Experience with document layout and publishing tools.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and customer/stakeholder engagements.
• Customer-service orientation.

Responsabilités

• Write and update material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, and related technical publications.
• Refine work of writers and coordinate activities of writers in publishing material.
• Apply industry practices, standards, and general concepts.
• Develop solutions to moderate scope problems.
