Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sr Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced technical expertise for electron microscopy and analytical systems. This role blends remote and on-site support across global teams to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

You will act as a technical liaison between field service, R&D, and customers, contributing to new product introductions and documentation while traveling up to 5% of the time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge in Gas Chromatography.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electronics, mechanics, vacuum systems, and software.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Demonstrated project leadership and ability to drive technical initiatives.
• Proven customer relationship management experience.
• Structured problem-solving using proven methods.
• Ability to work independently and with global teams.
• Proficiency with remote support tools and digital technologies.
• Willingness to travel 5% and hold a valid passport.
• Experience with quality systems and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor teammates.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Additional language skills are an asset.
