Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to ensure premium customers receive world-class technical support. You will troubleshoot software applications, document issues, and collaborate with R&D and product managers to resolve complex problems.

The role includes potential travel, participation in AVEVA World events, and acting as a technical lead for less-experienced staff within a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in similar roles.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Python or C#.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrable knowledge of industrial automation hardware and/or software like PLCs, HMI, OPC DA/UA, MQTT.
• Knowledge and experience on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Responsibilities

• Cover a phone queue during normal business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pacific Time).
• Reproduce customer issues with documentation of issues and resolutions in CRM systems.
• Participate in events such as AVEVA World with technical demos and setup/teardown.
• Serve as a technical lead to junior Technical Support staff.
• Create knowledge notes and articles and deliver web meetings.
• Occasional international and domestic travel.
• Potential on-call rotation after proficiency is gained.
