Job summary

AVEVA is seeking a Tech Support Engineer II in Houston, TX and Scottsdale, AZ for a hybrid Full-Time role. You will resolve complex technical issues remotely and on-site, mentor peers, and deliver customer-focused solutions.

Minimum 1–3 years in technical support with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, CS, or related field. SQL, APIs, and scripting are a plus. Minor relocation not provided. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

• Proven ability to apply software troubleshooting theories to complex issues.
• Experience owning projects or processes and driving improvements to tools or workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated track record of customer-facing excellence with a service mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Complete onboarding and product ramp-up to build deep familiarity with AVEVA software portfolio and customer environments.
• Own and drive resolution of complex technical issues remotely or on-site as needed.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through knowledge sharing and training.
• Teach customers how to maximize software value through public training classes.
• Analyze support data and trends, communicating insights to account teams and customers to drive proactive solutions.
• Join customer meetings to provide technical advice, guidance, and escalation leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, R&D, and Services teams to improve customer experience.
• Take ownership of projects or processes within the support organization to improve team performance.
• Continuously deepen technical expertise across the AVEVA portfolio.
