Job summary

Nominal Inc is seeking a Technical Recruiter to own end-to-end recruiting for highly technical roles across Software Engineering, AI, infrastructure, and product teams in a fast-growing hardware-software environment. You will develop targeted search strategies, build talent networks, and partner with engineering leaders to translate complex needs into compelling roles and assessments.

You will lead searches, assess candidates, and manage the interview process, while shaping scalable recruiting

Qualifications

• 4+ years of technical recruiting experience in startups or other high‑performance technology environments.
• Significant experience recruiting software engineers and other highly technical profiles.
• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and ask clarifying questions to understand a role beyond the job description.
• Ability to turn ambiguous hiring needs into clear candidate profiles, search strategies, and assessment plans.
• Strong sourcing instincts and a network within technical talent markets.
• Comfort forming a point of view, using market data to challenge assumptions, and push back with hiring managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting across Software Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, AI, and other technical areas.
• Build targeted search strategies and market maps for competitive talent pools.
• Develop and maintain relationships with exceptional technical talent, including passive candidates.
• Own the candidate relationship from first outreach through offer and close.
• Partner with engineering and product leaders to understand problems and define role requirements.
• Translate needs into candidate profiles, sourcing strategies, and compelling job descriptions.
• Learn unfamiliar technical concepts quickly to distinguish meaningful experience.
• Bring market signals back to hiring teams and calibrate profiles as needed.
• Balance hands-on recruiting with process improvements and scalable systems behind hiring.
