Etched is hiring a Technical Recruiter in San Jose to build and own high-leverage, relationship-driven parts of the recruiting function. You will thrive in fast-paced environments and lead recruiting from sourcing to offers.

Targeting candidates across unconventional sources and partnering with leadership, you will help scale a hardware and AI-focused team with a strong emphasis on candidate experience and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience recruiting technical talent in highly competitive markets.
• Ability to evaluate both technical depth and cultural fit with nuance and clarity.
• Resourceful in finding exceptional candidates beyond the obvious platforms.
• Thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building systems from scratch.
• Care deeply about candidate experience and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing through offer, ensuring top-of-funnel quality and fast, high-signal decision-making
• Build strong partnerships with hiring managers and advocate for both candidates and company needs
• Source candidates in unconventional places - e.g., GitHub repos, preprint authors on arXiv, contributors to Apache mailing lists, or insightful Twitter threads
• Facilitate structured interview loops, track candidate performance, and lead debriefs alongside hiring managers and leadership
• Manage offers and close processes in collaboration with hiring managers and the CEO
• Continuously improve our recruiting systems, workflows, and candidate experience
