Build AI in San Francisco is seeking a Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring for engineers, researchers, operators, and hardware specialists. You will source, screen, and close candidates while shaping pipelines, interview loops, and candidate experience across software, research, data, and hardware roles.

You will partner with hiring managers to set criteria, maintain pipeline hygiene, and push recruitment standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years recruiting technical talent in a competitive market.
• Sourcing and placing software, research, data, or hardware-adjacent people.
• Ability to evaluate technical depth and fit without guessing.
• Work independently in ambiguity and build scalable systems.
• Aware of Ashby or similar ATS for tracking candidates.

Responsibilities

• Own requisitions end-to-end: source, screen, run structured interview loops, debriefs, and close with hiring managers.
• Source beyond LinkedIn: GitHub, arXiv, workshops, Shenzhen networks, conferences.
• Partner with managers to write JDs, define the bar, and maintain high interview signal.
• Keep pipeline hygiene, scorecards, and time-to-offer metrics.
• Track funnel metrics and fix slow loops; represent Build in recruiting conversations.
