Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions in Research Triangle Park, NC, seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end client projects in retail solutions, aligning business requirements with product strategy and technical execution.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and client stakeholders, manage risks, budgets, and timelines, and ensure high-quality delivery while maintaining customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 12+ years of experience in program and project management, with at least 7 years of client-facing technical solutions.
• Proven experience in retail technology, POS systems, or custom software delivery.
• Technical expertise in system architecture and software development practices; knowledge of embedded systems/AI a plus.
• PMP, SAFe, Scrum, or similar certifications or plan to achieve one.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of client projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Manage risks, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables across projects.
• Oversee the delivery of client-facing technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs.
• Align product requirements and technical architecture into integrated project plans across teams.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and client stakeholders for clear goals and timelines.
• Promote ownership, accountability, and collaboration across all teams involved in the program.
• Provide leadership to technical PMs and cross-functional teams, driving program outcomes and engineering excellence.
• Maintain oversight of quality standards and SDLC processes; drive defect root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Engage with clients to define scope, gather requirements, and set expectations; provide regular progress updates.
• Continuously refine project management processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Define KPIs, provide executive status updates, and lead retrospectives for continuous improvement.
