Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, based in Research Triangle Park, NC, seeks an Associate Technical Business Analyst to translate client needs into clear requirements and support features from definition through delivery.

You will collaborate with product, program management, and development teams, grow your retail and product expertise, and participate in both agile and waterfall project environments. This is a growth role with increasing ownership.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role.
• Exposure to software development teams and projects through work, internships, or coursework
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Ability to create clear written documentation
• Self-driven, with a strong desire to learn
• Fluent English speaking and writing

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing client business requirements to help determine the best approach to meeting each need, with guidance from senior team members.
• Analyze and document well-defined requirements and help translate client needs into product-specific or client-specific requirements, with review from senior analysts.
• Create and maintain requirements documentation that clearly conveys what is changing and why, from both the client and product perspectives.
• Use approved AI tools to draft, refine, and standardize requirements documentation and user stories, expediting the documentation process.
• Participate in client interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand the 'what' and the 'why' behind their business needs.
• Learn the product's value and capabilities and support senior analysts in guiding clients through their decision making.
• Build strong working relationships with the client and the project team, growing toward being seen as a trusted partner.
• Identify potential scope changes and raise them promptly with the lead BA or project manager and participate in client scope conversations as your skills develop.
• Support the development team during the build phase by answering questions and clarifying requirements.
• Review test cases and scenarios and perform UAT to confirm solutions meet business requirements.
• Research client questions on functionality using test systems, internal AI tooling, documentation, or SMEs as needed.
• Learn Toshiba systems and develop into a system SME through training, hands-on use of test systems, and time with SMEs and developers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field

2-4 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role

Excellent written and verbal communication

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Collaborative, team-oriented approach

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Fluent English speaking and writing

Ability to create clear written documentation
