Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Herndon, VA seeks a Technical Account Manager in Enterprise Support to be the principal technical advisor to diverse customers and drive AWS adoption.

You will coordinate incident responses, share best practices, and help customers extract maximum value from EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda and more. This customer-facing, non-sales role requires 5+ years in distributed applications and engineering, 24x7 operations experience, and willingness to travel 10%+.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications.
• 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
• Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
• Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and provide strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using AWS best practices.
• Proactively keep customers' AWS environments healthy and resilient and guide incident handling.
• Represent AWS within the customer's environment and drive discussions with senior leadership on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
• Coordinate with engineers and service teams to resolve issues and drive adoption of AWS services.
• Travel 10% or more as required.
