Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Sr Engineer (Technical Solutions) to lead applications engineering for Power Through microgrid and distributed generation projects with commercial and industrial customers. You will develop technical scope, assess designs, and guide proposals and project development in a highly customer-facing role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with low/medium voltage power systems and generation is essential.
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams including single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead applications engineering for complex customer proposals, including system architecture and solution strategy.
• Evaluate electrical designs, interconnection approaches, and medium/low-voltage configurations.
• Perform advanced power system evaluations (load, capacity, reliability) and use modeling tools to support decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, EPC partners, R&D, product teams, Power Delivery, and sales/project management.
• Prepare technical content for proposals—drawings, narratives, system analyses, and supporting documentation.
• Assess design tradeoffs across cost, performance, constructability, reliability, and schedule.
• Lead site visits and customer engagements to validate design assumptions.
• Conduct senior-level technical peer reviews ensuring accuracy and quality of deliverables.
