Zusammenfassung

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Project Development Engineer to act as the technical resource for the DI sales team during pre-sale scope, costing, and application development. You will also support post-sale as part of the project management team for turn-key and specialty projects.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 5+ years in electrical consulting or related roles, with strong CAD skills and knowledge of power systems.

Qualifikationen

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as electrical consultant, application/development engineer or related role.
• Strong CAD skills; electrical engineering knowledge subject to assessment.
• Ability to develop concept drawings (one-line diagrams, site layouts).
• Strong commercial/industrial electrical power systems knowledge, estimation skills.
• Reciprocating engine and power distribution equipment design knowledge.
• DER experience is a plus; strategic/analytical thinking.
• High attention to detail and process orientation.
• Excellent verbal/written/interpersonal communication.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEEE codes.

Aufgaben

• Balance multiple projects and documentation requirements effectively.
• Manage pre-sale and post-sale tasks in ERP system.
• Travel to client sites and project locations as needed.
• Read/communicate in English; contribute to project documentation.
• Develop and lead projects; present to customers.
• Specify and obtain accurate vendor quotes; participate in client meetings.
