Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Senior Staff Power Development Engineer to join the Power Development engineering team, focusing on thermal generation and emerging technologies to improve reliability, affordability, and sustainability for customers.

The role engages with engineers, analysts, and project managers to assess performance attributes of generation technologies and support early-stage project development and design improvements for thermal solutions.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive professional experience in project engineering for power systems (PE/PMP beneficial).
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills with strong computer skills.
Knowledge of engineering standards, materials, and construction for power generation facilities.
Experience with reviewing, executing, and managing EPC contracts.

Responsibilities

Develop and mature technical performance perspectives for new and developing technologies for potential inclusion in the generation portfolio.
Perform early-stage project development for new generation resource types and technology improvements.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet techno-economic assessment needs.
Provide technical support for project proposals, approvals, and engineering design standards.
