Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager, Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and help optimize tax positions. The role involves coordinating with client teams, managing tax accruals, and leading tax research and consulting engagements to deliver high‑quality written advice.

The candidate will supervise associates, collaborate with assurance, and contribute to business development within tax specialties. CPA/EA or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required; Master’s preferred.
• CPA/Attorney/Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required or equivalent.
• Five+ years of prior tax experience; supervisory experience required.
• Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on tax implications of business objectives and cost of compliance.
• Reviews tax accruals and communicates issues with client and Assurance teams.
• Plans budgeting, staffing and engagement processes; manages billing and collections.
• Develops tax strategies, research issues, and communicates results to clients.
