Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager, Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and to lead tax engagements. You will evaluate actions to minimize tax burden, communicate risks, and support business development within your area of specialization.

You will apply deep knowledge to guide avoidance of penalties, manage client relationships, and provide written tax advice as needed. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills across complex tax matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Five or more years of prior tax experience; supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tax engagements and review work of associates and senior associates.
• Provide written tax advice and client communications; act as primary client contact for complex issues.
• Assist with ASC 740/ FIN 48 tax accruals and tax provision discussions with clients.
• Develop and implement efficient tax strategies to maximize client benefits.
• Mentor and train junior staff; manage workload and deadlines.
