Mortenson Construction is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who will serve as a trusted advisor to the hiring managers on talent acquisition to support business objectives and relationships.

You will act as a Customer Relationship Manager, develop staffing priorities, recruit diverse candidates, and collaborate with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans. The role includes managing external resources and ensuring effective recruitment strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Minimum seven years recruiting/HR experience or combination of higher education and experience.
• Ability to recommend hiring decisions to upper management.
• Proficiency in PC and widely used software packages (Excel, MS Word, HRIS/database).
• Active listening skills and effective communication, openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Act as Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups.
• Develop and update staffing priorities.
• Conduct weekly customer relationship meetings and update staffing reports.
• Source and staff open positions, recruit diverse candidates.
• Work with hiring managers on recruitment and selection plans.
• Negotiate and manage external recruiting resources.
• Conduct reference checks and establish employment offers.
• Develop talent sourcing approaches (direct recruiting, job fairs, internet recruiting).
• Refer team members to appropriate headquarters services (benefits, issue resolution, drug and alcohol-free program).
