Job summary

1199 SEIU Training and Employment Funds is seeking a Permanent, full-time Talent Acquisition & Job Placement lead. The role coordinates day-to-day recruitment for the site or portfolio, aligns with organizational priorities, and partners with Career Services and Employer Relations to drive job readiness and placements.

The position requires 5+ years in workforce development or related leadership, experience with iCIMS and Salesforce, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in HR, administration, workforce development, or related field.
• Minimum five years in workforce development or related operations leadership roles; two years supervising.
• Experience managing teams, workflows, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using applicant tracking systems (iCIMS) and CRM systems (Salesforce) preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
• Willingness to travel across five boroughs, Hudson Valley, and Long Island.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts and remote days as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day talent acquisition and job placement activities for the assigned site or portfolio.
• Develop and implement proactive recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and assess candidates to evaluate qualifications and fit.
• Match candidates with appropriate employment opportunities based on requirements and scheduling needs.
• Review candidate resumes to confirm qualifications and placement-readiness.
• Provide on-site technical and performance guidance to the assigned team.
• Oversee Employer Relations and Job Placement workflows and elevate issues to leadership.
• Prepare and manage the site monthly calendar and discuss updates with the Assistant Director.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff; provide peer support.
• Represent the division at hiring events and recruitment activities.
• Ensure adherence to Fund policies, confidentiality, and compliance expectations.
• Respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Provide high level of customer service and candidate support throughout recruitment.

Education
