Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a senior Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning professional to lead statewide initiatives across agencies. You will serve as a subject matter expert, driving strategic planning, recruiting, and knowledge management while training Field HR teams. Some travel within-state is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent related experience required.
• Three years (3+) of human resources experience including recruitment, retention, workforce planning, and project management.
• Broad knowledge of the principles, laws, regulations, theories, and practices of Human Resource Management and Organizational Development.
• Ability to formulate sound recommendations and make appropriate decisions with consideration of the potential impact on agency/division/local office/ or statewide.
• Ability to analyze policies and procedures and be able to recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, propose, implement, and maintain the statewide job architecture framework as well as the talent management consultation strategy.
• Develop, communicate, and operationalize long-range workforce plans for the assigned agency(ies).
• Consult with agency leadership to develop strategies for recruitment, retention, training, coaching, succession planning, and knowledge management.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for talent acquisition and programming; ensure system use reflects best practices.
• Deploy measurable strategies to meet talent acquisition and business needs of the agency.
• Represent Indiana State Government at career events across the state, including colleges and universities.
