The State of Indiana is hiring a Senior HR Business Partner for the INDOT Central Office in Indianapolis. The role focuses on advising agency executives and staff on HR functions, policies, and employee relations.

You will lead training initiatives, diagnose classification/compensation issues, and help implement efficiency improvements. A degree is not required; strong communication, analytical skills and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of HR management and administration.
• Knowledge of statewide HR laws, rules, regulations and policies.
• Ability to develop training curricula and deliver sessions.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to agency executives and staff on HR functions and policies.
• Identify classification/compensation issues and recommend solutions.
• Develop curricula and conduct HR training programs.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports from the database.
• Support agency goals and drive continual improvements in efficiency.
